1370. Heath to Phillips. Letter from Headquarters, Boston acknowledging one dated 'the 14th' on the Deputy Quartermaster-General's accounts. There was nothing wrong in transport charges on provisions if they have to be taken from magazines for the Troops of the Convention. The charges for wood in December had been omitted from the previous account as indicated in comments made on the provisions supplied to the hospital in November last, and therefore chargeable. Charges for teaming and the carting of wood were reasonable so that the troops had fuel. Transportation of Troops of the Convention inland were charged at usual rates and no more.
