1325. Major-General Eyre Massey to General Sir Henry Clinton. A letter from Halifax saying that he had awaited orders from General Robertson but as the season had been advancing, had sent eight ships for the colliery and awaited their return. Concerning his return home, wouldn't go until all the defences were put into place and had also reviewed the troops. Lieutenant-Colonel Goreham hoped that his letter would be enclosed and his surgeon recommended as he had been a prisoner for some months. Ensign Davies was very distressed and all Captain Campbell's services deserves His Excellency's attention.
