He has had to borrow money from his son's wife and his landlord Clements to pay bills, and he still owes money to John Laham, Carpenter, Andrew Hague and Thomas Hutchins, for his hooker being staved in at Ramsgate Pier, when Sir John Berry ordered them to go for the St. Alban's anchors.
