Alienation Office account books of the total sums collected for pre-fines and post-fines for each county, together with a note of the number of writs of covenant issued.
Included are lists of the bailiffs of the counties and liberties where post-fines were being claimed. The surviving accounts begin at the point at which the office took over the collection of post-fines from the sheriffs under the Post-Fines Collection Act 1758. There are no similar records for the period after 1794.
