Folio 141. 'A Copy Revised and Compared by J Hopwood'. Information of Thomas Hodson, chapman from Manchester [Lancashire]. Information against James Blinkhorn, hosier from Manchester. Hodson was at the Black Swan inn, run by John Humphreys, on 29 November 1745. John Halker, servant of James Hodson (Thomas's brother), informed him that Blinkhorn and John Irlam wished to speak with him; Blinkhorn had met Pretender [Charles Edward Stuart] at John Dickinson's house, and had informed rebels about arms held by Robert Duckinfield. Sworn before Justices of the Peace J Bradshaw, Thomas Percival, William Horton, and Robert Entwisle. Dated at Lancashire.
