Folio 139. 'A Copy Revised and Compared by J Hopwood'. Information of Robert Rider, whitster of Blakely [Blackley, Lancashire]. Information against John Scholes, whitster of Newton [?Lancashire]. Scholes wore cockade when Pretender [Charles Edward Stuart] entered Manchester [Lancashire]. Sworn before Justices of the Peace William Horton, J Bradshaw and Thomas Percivall. Filed with:

1. Folio 140. 'A Copy Revised and Compared by J Hopwood'. Information of Daniel Rigby, nailor of Aspull, Lancashire. Information against Mr Tildesley. Rebel [Jacobite] commanding officer was at the Queen's Head in Chorley [Lancashire], run by John Taylor. Saw man taken to meet commander; Thomas Standish, butcher, told him it was Mr Tildesley. Was at Hoghton [Lanachire] the next day, where Tildesley tried to convince him and John Orrel [?Orrell] to join 'Prince' [Charles Edward Stuart]. Sworn before Bradshaw and Percival. Dated at Manchester.
