Folio 133. 'A Copy Revised and Compared by J Hopwood'. Information of Robert Jebb, merchant of Manchester, Lancashire. Information against Samuel Dickinson, son of John Dickinson, a Manchester merchant. Dickinson and several 'Scotch Rebels' [Jacobites] took Jebb prisoner, late on 30 November 1745. Escorted to house where the 'Pretended Prince' [Charles Edward Stuart] was staying; rebels demanded his subscription money of £10 before discharging him. Taken before Justices of the Peace Robert Duckinfield, William Horton, Thomas Percivall and Robert Entwisle. Dated at Manchester.
