Description

Folios 112 and 116. W Bell,?Nathaniel Hills and Charles Allix, Commissioners for Sick and Wounded, to Thomas Ramsden. Asking for details of ships and vessels where prisoners are confined. Dated at Office for Sick and Wounded Seamen. Enclosures:

1. Folio 113. Transcript. Petition for discharge of William Scott, prisoner in Coventry gaol, sent to Mayor and aldermen of Coventry [Warwickshire]. Scott's wife and children are poor and need his assistance. Signed by the Minister, churchwardens and overseers of Sedbergh, Yorkshire: Gilbart Gilpon [?Gilpin]; John Nelson; Philip Eubank; Robert Hutchinson; Robert Kelty; Robert Backhus [?Backhouse]; Thomas Birkbeck; Thomas Lancaster; Joshua Garner; Edward Moore, curate; John Gawthropp, churchwarden; Thomas Fern, churchwarden; Thomas Crowther, churchwarden; William Sandwich, constable and postmaster; Brian Otway, churchwarden; John Mann, overseer; Richard Ashburner; Edward Leece; Edward Eubank.

2. Folios 114-115. Transcript. Sir Everar Fawkener's report to Commissioners for Sick and Wounded Seamen.
