Folios 49-50. Draft. Newcastle to Earl of Cholmondeley. Thanks him for examinations concerning Francis Comberbatch; he was among 'Mutineers' from Lord Gower's regiment and has been committed to Chester Gaol. Cholmondeley will receive powers to proceed against other 'Mutineers'. Enquiry must be made into 'extraordinary Quantity' of provisions in Flintshire; they might be intended for rebels [Jacobites] in Scotland. Duke [of Cumberland] marching from Edinburgh to Stirling [Stirlingshire]. Dated at Whitehall [Middlesex].
