Folios 28-29. Minutes of the Cabinet. In attendance: Lord Chancellor; Lord Privy Seal; Lord Steward; Lord Chamberlain; Duke of Bolton; Duke of Montagu; Duke of Argyll; Earl of Harrington; Lord Viscount Cobham; Mr Pelham; Newcastle. Commissioners for Sick and Wounded provided list of nearly 800 prisoners. Prisoners from the Soleil, privateer, should be treated as prisoners of war. French officers and soldiers should be sent back to France upon the Cartel. Cases of prisoners taken at Carlisle [Cumberland] should be examined. Mr Sharpe (Solicitor of the Treasury) will make account of rebel [Jacobite] prisoners in London, and Lords of the Admiralty will make account of prisoners on ships.
