Folios 94-95. Declaration of Peter Pattinson [Patinson] concerning a letter from [Charles Edward Stuart, 'the Young Pretender'], which he received form Sheridan, and was directed to carry to Lord Barrymore, and which he delivered to Lord Buttevant. Enclosing:
The letter from Charles Edward Stuart stating that he expected shortly to capture Carlisle [Cumberland] with his 'numerous army', and then intended marching 'straight for London' via Cheshire. Dated at Brampton [Cumberland].
