Folio 26. T Scrope to Edward Weston advising that the Treasury Commissioners have no objection to meeting a request for beef from the [Dutch] East India Company. The need arises on account of 'the scarcity of provisions occasioned in Holland by the contagion amongst the cattle in that country'. Mentions a letter from Monsieur Hop, envoy extraordinary to the States General [Netherlands]. Dated at Treasury Chambers.
