Description

Folios 13-14. Lord Tyrawley to Duke of Newcastle suggesting a second body of troops, drawn from those newly arrived from Flanders, should be sent through Lancashire to intercept the [Jacobite] rebels if they go that way. Suggests the rebels are avoiding confrontation while awaiting help from foreign and domestic friends. In the meantime our 'men will lie miserably in camps in this wet season of the year [and] it will be impossible that sickness should not get amongst them'. Dated at Newcastle [upon Tyne, Northumberland].
