This series consists almost entirely of a collection of research notes and drafts of Ailsa McGown Clark (b 1926), who was head of the Echinodermata and Protochordata section from 1948 until her retirement in 1986.
The Asteroidea files consist of notes on specific species of Asteroidea (Starfish) from different collections, where as the Collections files consist of notes on a variety of Echinoderms from specific locations. Where files relate to identifiable published papers the reference to the paper may be found in the notes field. The lists provide details of specimens identified by A M Clark with annotations indicating those to be kept by the Natural History Museum.
