Folio(s) 507-510. Letter from Isaac Heard, Garter King of Arms, indicating the necessity of describing the armorial bearings of Prince William Frederick, son of the Duke of Gloucester, on the banner and plate to be placed for him as a Knight of the Garter in St George's Chapel, Windsor. As no distinctions or coronet had yet been assigned to the prince's armorial bearings, Heard encloses a draft of a warrant for royal approval [not present], together with a copy of a Royal Warrant, addressed to Sir Edward Walker, Garter King of Arms, signed by Sir Edward Nicholas [Secretary of State] and dated 9 February 13 Car 2 [1661], for distinguishing the coronets of members of the Royal Family from those of peers of equal rank.
