Petition to the Duke of Portland [former Home Secretary] from John Nicholls, Michael Doyle and John Crathorn, prisoners committed to the County Gaol, Gloucester [Gloucestershire] under the Suspension of the Habeas Corpus Act, stating their distress at the state of their clothing as their destitute families were unable to support them, and asking for the magistrates or governor to be instructed to supply them with garments, especially shoes, stockings and shirts.
