To: The General Board of Health.
From: [William A Laing], Keeper and Superintendent, Office of Her Majesty's Gazette, Edinburgh, Scotland.
Subject Matter: Letter acknowledging receipt of a letter dated 29 January 1849, requesting copies of all Gazettes in which orders from the General Board of Health have appeared. [Laing] explains that six copies of separate Gazettes have been transmitted to the General Board, in accordance with the request. A further five Gazettes are now said to be out of print, though copies are said to have previously been sent to the Board and to Dr Sutherland in Edinburgh.
