To: The General Board of Health.
From: James Kilner, Clerk, Strand Union, 6 Bow Street London.
Subject Matter: Letter acknowledging receipt of a letter of the 30 August enclosing copies of a letter and medical certificate and enquiring as to why a nuisance has not been removed in Dean Street, Soho. In reply Kilner states that an Inspector has been instructed to visit the place and adopt measures for the abatement of the nuisance complained of. He adds that a letter of warning has been addressed to the person complained of and to Mrs Codd. He further states that the appropriate measures have now been taken to remove this nuisance by the Inspector but Mrs Codd cannot be informed as she is out of town.
