To: John Guichwood, 49 Pall Mall, London.
From: The General Board of Health.
Subject Matter: Draft letter acknowledging receipt of a letter of the 4 September. In reply the Board states that the proper persons to complain to are the Board of Guardians who have the power to proceed in the removal of nuisances under section 1 of the Nuisances Removal and Diseases Prevention Act 1848 on receipt of a notice in writing signed by two householders. They also enclose a circular on this subject [not in item].
