Folio 72. Examination of Michael Hopson, Apothecary, Coleman Street, denying that he possessed any of the 'speeches' prepared by the 'Manchester [Regiment] Rebels' [Jacobites], including that of his friend James Bradshaw, prior to their executions. Admits they were offered to him for publication after the prisoners' deaths but that he did not accept them or knows who did. Acknowledges possession of copies of the Cartel of Frankfurt, sent to him by Major Glascoe, who printed them for the use of French officers in their trials at St Margaret's Hill [Southwark, Surrey]. Mentions his professional attendance at the New Gaol [Southwark, Surrey] in relation to the 'itch', and keeper [Richard] Jones. Initialled TW [Thomas Waite]. Dated at Westminster [London, Middlesex].
