Description

Folio 42. Jn [John] Sharpe to Thomas Ramsden, providing lists of [Jacobite] prisoners [one only filed here] 'in the several gaols about London'. Advises that the Keeper of New Gaol [Southwark, Surrey] [Richard Jones] has had no orders concerning the execution of the latest prisoners condemned. Also mentions warrant of reprieve for Lieutenant John Gray, of Lord John Drummond's [regiment]. Dated at Lincolns Inn [London]. Enclosing:

Folio 43. List of Newgate Prisoners. Clement McDermont; Joseph Brouden; John Blaw; Francis Stafford - All taken in the Soleil Privateer, Committed for High Treason. Sir Hector MacLeave; Lauchlan MacLeave - On suspicion of High Treason. John Purser - For Treasonable Practices. Dated at Newgate [London, Middlesex].
