Folios 191-192. The petition of James Taylor, clergyman of Thurso in Caithness, stating that he was in no way involved in the [Jacobite] rebellion, mentioning his capture by Mr Moody of Melsater, and detention aboard the sloop Shark, the man-o-war Loo, and the transporter Pamela. Note on the reverse, signed by T [Thomas] Waite, states that he has concluded, from witness interviews, that Taylor played no part in the rebellion. Dated at Whitehall [London, Middlesex].
