Affidavit of Robert Reid, gardener, of Banff [Banffshire], swearing that James Paterson had implied he sold 'MacLeod's letters'; In early January Reid received a letter from Lord Braco which he was reading when an argument broke out between himself and James Paterson, during which Paterson said 'Sir I would sell you [Robert Reid]... as well as McLeod's Letters'. Witnessed by James Innes, Justice of the Peace for the county of Banff, and dated at Banff. Filed with:
