Folio 80. Minutes of the Cabinet attended by the Lord Chancellor, the Lord President, the Duke of Richmond, the Earl of Pembroke, the Earl of Chesterfield, [Henry] Pelham, and the Duke of Newcastle. Recommended mercy for John James Jellens, condemned [Jacobite] prisoner, on condition of transportation for life. Order with reprieve sent immediately to York, as execution scheduled for 1 November [1746]. Dated at Whitehall [London, Middlesex].
