Folios 74 - 75. Jno [John] Sharpe to Duke [of Newcastle], concerning the trials of [Jacobite] prisoners. James Lindsay, a volunteer in Lord Strathallan's Regiment, argued that he was forced by the rebels, but found guilty. Alexander Kinloch and Charles Kinloch, brothers of Sir James Kinloch and both captains from Lord Ogilvie's Regiment, argued that as Scots whose alleged crimes were committed in Scotland, they could not be tried in England. Dated at St Margaret's Hill [Southwark, Surrey].
