Folios 72-73. Minutes of Cabinet attended by Lord Chancellor, the Lord President, the Lord Privy Seal, the Duke of Richmond, the Earl of Pembroke, the Earl of Chesterfield, [Henry] Pelham, and the Duke of Newcastle, with [Philip Carteret] Webb called to attend. Considering the petitions of 13 rebel [Jacobite] prisoners in York [Yorkshire] who are due for execution on 1 November [1746]. Eleven were left to be executed: William Conolly; James Sparkes; James Hamilton; John James Jellens; Charles Gordon; Daniel Fraser; Angus McDonald; Edward Clavering; James Maine; Benjamin Mason; William Dempsey. Two prisoners were reprieved: William Crosby and William Barclay. Dated at Whitehall [London, Middlesex].
