Folios 20-21. Report on the qualifications of Grand Juries in Scotland, by the Attorney General D [Dudley] Ryder and Solicitor General W [William] Murray to the Duke of Newcastle. In response to questions from Newcastle, they have concluded that it is not a legal requirement for prospective Scottish Jury members to hold lands direct from the Crown or to earn more than 40 shillings a year.
