Folios 14-15. Jno [John] Sharpe to Duke [of Newcastle], detailing the Court session at St Margaret's Hill [Southwark, Surrey] concerning [Jacobite] prisoners held in the New Gaol [Southwark, Surrey], and one in Marshalsea Prison [Southwark, Surrey]. Prisoners Sir James Kinloch and Roderick McCullough both pleaded guilty. Prisoners Alexander Buchanan and Andrew Sprule were indicted for fighting in the rebel army. Request for directions on how to proceed with cases against several prisoners who had been in the French service under John Drummond: Lancelot Colbert; John Gray; William Moor; Charles Oliphant. Mentions case of Mr Glasgow [Glascoe], in Dillon's Regiment. The trials are scheduled to begin on 22 October [1746] when the judges have returned from York [Yorkshire], and are expected to begin with the trial of Mr Radcliffe [Charles Radcliffe, Radclyffe, alias Earl of Darwentwater, Derwentwater]. Dated at St Margaret's Hill.
