Folios 44 - 45. Draft of a letter [from the Duke of Newcastle] to Lord Chief Baron Parker and Baron Clark. Acknowledges receipt of their letter dated 27 September 1746 informing him that, having concluded the trials of [Jacobite] prisoners at Carlisle [Cumberland], the judges were setting out for York [Yorkshire] where 'Mr Justice Burnet and Mr Justice Denison were already gone'. Newcastle also asking for a report on prisoners and scheduled execution dates. Dated at Whitehall [London, Middlesex].
