Draft of the Duke of Newcastle to [Philip Carteret] Webb, acknowledging receipt of papers pertaining to the prisoners in Carlisle [Cumberland], and several applications to the King on behalf of many prisoners. No decision will be made on these applications until reports arrive from the judges at York [Yorkshire]. Request to Webb for any further information in support of, or against, individual prisoners. Dated at Whitehall [London, Middlesex].
