Folios 5 - 6. John Wright to [unknown]. According to Wright's brother, prisoners in the castle at Carlisle [Cumberland] are sick with a fever due to the poor conditions; they are kept in one room, with no seats or heating, and only a few are allowed out for exercise at a time. Requesting that his brother's son, who is one of the sick prisoners, be transferred from the castle to the county gaol to recover, or that proper measures are taken to prevent the spread of the fever. Dated at Piccadilly [London].
