Wm [William] Wreathocke [alias William White] of Campveer, Zealand, [Dutch Republic], to Duke of Newcastle and copied to 'HRH the Duke' [of Cumberland], carried by a sailor Luke Green, with intelligence of ship movements at Dunkirk [France] and Ostend. Mentions Captain Norbut Kempinck, formerly of the privateer Sun, later commanding the sloop Hazard, with mate Peter Castere, and a flyboat owned by 'one Brewer a Flemmin'. Also refers to the 'the Pretender's son' [Henry Benedict Stuart] staying at Madam Harvey's in Dunkirk. Relates that Rye Bay [Sussex] is where it's intended to disembark fishing boats. Dated at Campveer.
