Evidence of Edward Thompson, of Samsbury [?Samlesbury], Lancashire, cotton?weaver, in support of John Lewesly, describing how the two men were confronted by [Jacobite] rebels in 'Ye Sun' public house in Church Street Preston [Lancashire], who compelled Lewesley to join them, and how he avoided the same fate only on account of his short stature at about 4'6.
