Affidavits in favour of David Row, late of Anstruther Eastern, Fife, a prisoner in York castle [Yorkshire], by John Auld merchant of St Andrews [Fife], Elizabeth Applin widow of Richard Aplin vintner, Philip Millar, merchant and vintner, and Philip Paton [Patton, Patten] merchant, vouching for Row's Whig views, as well as giving details of his deteriorating mental condition and odd behaviour leading up to the time of the [Jacobite] rebellion. Reference to his return from France. Sworn before John Loch JP, and Thomas Whyte JP. Dated at St Andrews.
