Folio 105. Petition of Scottish prisoner David Row, under sentence of death for joining the [Jacobite] rebellion. Recalls his foreign voyage aboard the Margrt [Margaret] when he was capture by a French privateer, ransomed, imprisoned, and released through the agency of Lord John Drummond, 'an Officer of the French King's service'. Contracted a 'violent distemper... whereby his judgement and understanding was greatly affected'. Dated at York Castle [Yorkshire].
