Folio 75. Philip Carteret Webb to Duke of Newcastle, advising of the end of [Jacobite] trials in Carlisle and the upcoming session in York [Yorkshire]. Refers to the conviction of James Hay and proof he was a Scottish native, and comments made in court concerning the cartel [of Frankfurt]. Also mentions attempted escape by [Thomas Coppock] 'Titular Bishop of Carlisle, Major McDonald & Henderson'. Dated at Carlisle. Enclosing:
