Folio 46. J West to Andrew Stone, referring to a bill of exchange for £400 drawn from New York by Governor Clinton, payable to Danl [Daniel] and Moses Gomez, to buy presents for 'the five nations of Indians' to induce them to join an expedition 'for the Reduction of Canada', as directed by the Duke of Newcastle. Dated at Treasury Chambers [London, Middlesex].
