Affidavit in favour of Robert Forbes, prisoner in Carlisle [Cumberland] convicted of High Treason, sworn by William Leechman, professor of Divinity at Glasgow University [Lanarkshire], asserting that Forbes, who was billeted with him in Glasgow [Lanarkshire], was 'seduced' to join the rebels only by the 'over persuasion of Lord Pitsligo when he was at a distance from his parents', and that he had no liking for the [Jacobite] cause. Dated at Carlisle Court.
