Affidavit of John Ross and Gavin Harvie [Harvey] merchants of Aberdeen [Aberdeenshire], Harvie's wife Isabel Smith, and excise officer David Boyn, to the effect that Roderick McCulluch of Glastullich, Ross-shire, was among a division of [Jacobite] rebels who occupied the city on their march north, but that he had acted with 'Great Civility and humanity', and had sustained an injury protecting one of Gavin Harvie's servants from a violent rebel. Signed before Doctor James Gordon JP, and baillie William Gordon. Filed with:
Folio 78. Affidavit in favour of Roderick McCulloch made by Doctor Gordon, stating that he'd treated McCulloch for a sword-wound to the cheek. Witnessed by baillie, William Gordon.
