Seven Scottish clergymen to Reverend James Foster, of London, seeking a pardon for Sir James Kinloch [Nevay] a prisoner [in New Gaol, Southwark, Surrey] awaiting trial in connection with the [Jacobite] Rebellion. They say Sir James helped 'restrain the fury' of the rebels.
