Seven Scottish clergymen to Reverend James Foster, of London, seeking a pardon for Sir James Kinloch [Nevay] a prisoner [in New Gaol, Southwark, Surrey] awaiting trial in connection with the [Jacobite] Rebellion. They say Sir James helped 'restrain the fury' of the rebels. Signed by: Rev James Wemyss of Errol [Perthshire]; Patrick Bannerman, St Madois; Ro [Robert] Coventry, Kilspindie; James Miln, Kinnaird; John Faichney, Collace; James St Archney, St Martin; James Gow, Cargill.
