Alex [Alexander] Duncan, and 23 other clergymen of the Church of Scotland in Angus and Perthshire, to Reverend James Foster, asking him to intercede in the case of Sir James Kinloch Nevay of that Ilk Baronet, a prisoner in New Gaol, Southwark [Surrey]. They say he was caught up in the 'ensnaring Arts' of the [Jacobite Rebels], refer to the honours bestowed on Lady Kinloch by the Duke of Cumberland, and express fears for the destitution of their large family. Dated at Eassie [Angus], North Britain.
