To: T Taylor, The Local Government Act Office.
From: John Thomas, Shooters Hill [Kent].
Subject Matter: Letter advising that in the recent election of members for the Woolwich Local Board of Health, the Chairman, who was one of those retiring, remained in Office and conducted his own re-election. Thomas explains that Taylor's name has been given as having sanctioned this proceeding. Thomas enquires, as a ratepayer and house proprietor, whether the Chairman was really justified in acting in such a manner.
