To: The Local Government Act Office.
From: Andrew C Reed, Clerk to the Local Board of Health, Woolwich [Kent].
Subject Matter: Letter acknowledging receipt of a letter dated 4 May 1864, enclosing printed notices of the inquiry which has been directed by the Home Secretary in pursuance of the petition of the Woolwich Local Board of Health for power to purchase lands for improvements under the Lands Clauses Consolidation Act 1845. Reed confirms that the notices have been affixed to the doors of the churches and chapels, and wherever public notices are usually affixed, within the district of Woolwich.
