Folio 399.

To: The General Board of Health.

From: Joseph Frederick Jessopp, Clerk to the Local Board of Waltham Abbey, [Essex].

Subject Matter: Letter referring to a letter of the 1 March regarding the River Lee Trust and the New Rivers Bills now before Parliament. Jessopp states that William Ranger had suggested that a petition be presented to Parliament expressing the evils of the Bills in taking away the present currents of water without providing for the sewerage of the town of Waltham Holy Cross. He asks whether as a Public Board they have the power to make an application to Her Majesty to stop her assent to these Bills.
