To: The Home Secretary.
From: S R Liversage, 3 Victoria Road, New Brighton, Birkenhead [Cheshire].
Subject Matter: Letter advising that the Wallasey Local Board, at a meeting on the 4 February 1869, elected their Treasurer to the Office of Clerk, 'and by calling him Clerk and Accountant to still give him the supervision over the Treasurer's department'. Liversage enquires whether the Local Board, in making such appointment, have acted in accordance with the Public Health and Local Government Acts.
