Folios 105-106. George Middleton to Lady Kinloch, praising Sir James Kinloch's 'good qualities' demonstrated when in command of the [Jacobite] rebel forces in Aberdeen. Middleton states that Kinloch allowed Lieutenant Halley of General Blakeney's regiment to stay and be nursed at Middleton's house. Furthermore, Kinloch prevented the house from being damaged in retaliation for Middleton's support for the government and for protecting one of the king's officers. Dated at Seaton near Aberdeen [Aberdeenshire].
