Folios 95-96. Certificate of Sergeant [at law] Thomas Birch on behalf of Jane Hartland, sentenced to death at Gloucester [Gloucestershire] Assizes for stealing from a shop to the value of five shillings. However, owing to 'some favourable circumstances' she has since been reprieved by Birch and he requests that she be given a free pardon.
