Folios 90-91. Declaration of William Ross, postmaster of Tain, [Ross and Cromerty] stating that the Earl of Cromertie 'did behave with the greatest humanity and moderation' towards the local people during the occupation by the rebel [Jacobite] army. Recalls Colonel [John] O'Sullivan relaying the offence taken by 'the Prince' [Charles Edward Stuart's] at Cromartie's slowness in shipping rebels to Sutherland.
