Folio 18. Duke of Bedford to Duke of Newcastle requesting Lord Hawley should be appointed governor of New Jersey, with [Lewis] Morris's death. Also raises orders for General [James] St Clair's expedition. Dated at London. Encloses:
Folio 19. Extract of a letter concerning a Spanish prize worth £50,000 captured by the Dublin privateer of St Marys, West Indies [Trinidad and Tobago?]. The prize was out of Havana [Cuba] and formerly named Prize frigate, of London. News related via the Prince William, [Mr] Eaton [master?], out of Dublin. Dated at Bristol [Gloucestershire].
