Folios 2-3. Information of Henry Sibley, concerning evidence in the case of the Earl of Cromertie, from a servant to Lady Cromertie called 'Kenzie' whom he'd met at the Robin Hood Ale House in Windmill street [London, Middlesex]. Kenzie claimed that among [Jacobite] prisoners in Windmill Street was one Frazier, who said he'd come 'to swear away the Earl of Cromertie's life'. Sibley also informs on a Roman Catholic woman called Lightfoot, living in the house of Mr Mitchel, a tailor in Windmill street, who railed against the rebel prisoners for turning king's evidence. She swore that King George was not King of England because he'd 'never touched for the King's Evil', and her husband had been cured of distemper by the 'touch' of the Pretender [James Francis Edward Stuart]. Sworn before Thomas Waite. Dated at Westminster [London, Middlesex], 1 July 1746.
